Artwork: Captain Steve's Jetcar

Couldn't come up with a better name soooooo.....he's called Steve.  He's a comic book super hero-ish character that I invented specifically for this project (even though all you get to see is his Jetcar).  Maybe I'll actually model Steve sometime in the future.  But in the meanwhile, voila.

All 3D stuff in Blender 2.56 (including composite this time).  For the first time I experimented with the Color Balance node to achieve the soft atmosphere effect.

And the little collectors card was done in Inkscape.

  1. Hi there. I'm often not very pleased with your models (kinda simple, not bad at all), but the colors of your pictures always so warm and soft, like it very much. I'm not so good in rendering. Anyway nice work's, mate!

  2. Thanks for the comment and the critique :) The simplicity of many of my models comes from the fact that they were made for competitions with tight time constraints. My primary focus is to make an appealing piece of artwork (i.e., make the colours look nice), not necessarily model a highly detailed mesh.

    Thanks for the comment.

  3. The simplicity is not bad at all, that is just my taste. English is not my native language, so I can't... explain things right ).
